riddles

Postby MrsH » Sun Mar 16, 2008 4:07 am

My primary school teacher used to tell us riddles every Friday and then we had a week to figure them out. We were only allowed to ask her yes or no question in order to get hints to solve the riddles. I came across some silly riddles on the internet the other day which reminded me of my teacher. The best one she told us was probably this one:

I stopped in front of a hotel and at that moment I knew I was broke.
How could I know this?

White stone in red sea... well I would like to answer that they both turn pink... but I guess the real answer is that the stone make a splash and then sink..

oki what about this one (a bit morbid sorry...)

In the middle of the desert there is a small cabin. From the ceiling in the cabin there is hanging a man from a rope. He had killed himself. However it is not oblivious how he did it. There is no furnitures, benches or ladders to step on in the cabin. Basically its just one big empty room. With the man hanging from the ceiling. There is a small puddle of water on the floor. How did he manage to hang himself?
