about Chinese dragon dance and lion dance

Postby onthink » Tue Apr 08, 2008 3:59 am

I have been practising Kung Fu for 5 years, and I begin to learn lion dance lately. Have you heard of lion dance or dragon dance before? You may click to see the pictures and understand what I am talking about.

Lion dance is a form of traditional dance in Chinese culture, in which performers mimic a lion's movements in a lion costume.

there is a big dragon festival here every spring. I love to see the dances. However I was unaware of that you had to learn a specific moves. I thought you just had to make sure not to trip or knock the person in front of you over..

I have always been fascinated with the dragon dance. I love seeing them perform in the streets. The dancers' fluidity and energy is incomparable.

We will always be captivated by the actual monster dancing. I really like viewing all of them carry out within the roads. The actual dancers' fluidity as well as power is actually matchless.
