Does 'The Dark Knight' re-release give the film a final push in the Oscar race? It's still tough to say at this point. Personally, I would love if this movie broke the stigma that a comic-book movie is not "artsy" enough to gain the title. I mean, if you look back to the 1930s and 1940s, it was primarily quirky, screwball comedies that reigned supreme at the award show. And while I love seeing Barbara Stanwyck fire off witty lines, I think we can agree that 'The Dark Knight' is on another level.
Anyway, I know that the score Oscar has already been nixed, but I don't think they would dare not give Ledger his due.
